Testimonials
We asked what some of our students and faculty thought about their Sinocampus experience. What our Students Say
Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools combines traditional Chinese teaching with foreign teaching, broadening their international vision, and also feeling different teaching and cultural differences. The class atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant, and the English class became very happy. In a word, I not only gained different knowledge from the study of Royal Agricultural University (RAU) and Shandong Agricultural University (SDAU), but also gained a lot of happiness.
The cooperation between Shandong Agricultural University (SDAU) and Royal Agricultural University (RAU) is a combination of strong countries. I can not only continuously improve my English level, but also continue to learn the excellent experience of the RAU and improve my professional level. I’m very lucky to come to this major and hope I can constantly improve myself.
Thanks to the university for providing me with a high-quality platform for my better progress. For my college life, learning is the main theme of my life. Campus life is brisk and regular, which makes me feel full and happy. College life is a good time to provide many opportunities for self-improvement. May we all seize this precious time and move on.
Royal Agricultural University (RAU) is an advanced university with a long history, studying in our Joint Institute to receive the high-level teaching resources of Qingdao Agricultural University (QAU) and RAU is a great honour for me. As a young student studying in our Joint Institute, I should take the initiative to assume the responsibility of international exchanges and determine to become a modern talent with an international vision.
I really enjoy the atmosphere of Sino-British cooperation in the classroom, which is relaxed and orderly. The school pays attention to the cultivation of students’ comprehensive quality and carries out a variety of extracurricular activities. Double degree offers more possibilities for further study abroad. I hope that in the next four years, I can make full use of the excellent teaching resources of both China and the UK and become a better myself.
What our Faculty Say
The purpose of education cooperation with China is to introduce educational resources of high quality, to apply advanced educational ideas and teaching concepts in the Programme, to follow the development trends of world education, to focus on creativity, practice and academic research while abiding by relevant laws and regulations from both the UK and China.
This is a transnational cooperated education (TNE) project held and managed by Universities in China and the Royal Agricultural University, UK. We are currently running BSc programmes and developing MSc programmes with Shandong Agricultural University (SDAU) which was started in 2010, and Qingdao Agricultural University (QAU) Joint Institute which was established in 2020. It is tremendous to see the growth in student numbers and impressive student feedback. All feedback from students for the teaching evaluations were very positive, and over 90% was A (excellent) in the last several years, including blended online teaching after 2020 due to Covid-19 Pandemic. Congratulations and many thanks to our dedicated programme leaders, lecturers, the library, learning technologists and IT colleagues both in China at QAU & SDAU, and the RAU in the UK.
As the impact of Covid-19 heightens both the UK’s and China’s awareness of major issues as international food security, global food supply chains and the interdependence of agri-business in today’s world – together, QAU, SDAU and the RAU are ideally placed to make a sustained contribution to improving people’s health and welfare, on a global scale.
Over my past 7 years of work experience as an English teacher, I am happy to say that working with Sinocampus has been the most rewarding experience of my career to date for a number of reasons. Firstly, we are valued and supported as members of the academic team, where our collaborative ideas are taken on board and we are encouraged to grow as educators. Secondly, teaching our motivated and bright students is highly enjoyable and motivating, allowing us to pass on our knowledge to the next generation. Lastly, we have a great work-life balance where we can not only enjoy our time at work, but also explore and be immersed in the culture and lifestyle of China.
Overall, my experience here has been excellent, and I look forward to a long-lasting collaboration with Sinocampus!
It has been enjoyable working as a lecturer for Shandong Agricultural University Shandong Agricultural University (SDAU) on the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course. The course content has helped students to improve on their English language skills and knowledge through exciting and interesting activities. The students have developed their ability to analyse texts through different reading strategies, learn specific grammar and language structures and listen and speak on theme-based material and finally produce a unit learning outcome by combining their unit learning by conducting in writing paragraphs, presentations or diagrams.
Through the Sino-UK cooperation programme, students can improve their professional skills, learn professional theory and technology better, and develop their comprehensive quality in an all-round way. As the director of the programme, I sincerely wish the programme will be more successful.
